This is a great opportunity for KYSIS students to serve the community with the energy we have, and I hope this will drive us towards the creation of a responsible, energetic and reliable youth

Nur Qurratu Iman Mohamad Rusli, the project manager of the KYSIS IYA

For this first IYA activity, the students of KYSIS carried out a beach clean-up activity at Pantai Batu Empat, in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan. Taking about an hour and a half journey from the school, all students were thrilled to start their mission and makes the world a better place. Not to forget, the students were also accompanied by their enthusiastic teachers like Mr Colin Mc Elvenny, Mr Christian Setzer, Miss Iris Tay and Miss Kalirenawati Shanmugam.

This beach cleanup certainly made me realize that if we do not care about the cleanliness of our environment, then who else will? It is our responsibility, the cur- rent generations, especially youths like us, to make sure that our beaches are pre- served for the future generations
